[LISTEN] KOTA – “Black Friday”

Posted by : The Messenger , November 2015

fuck black friday

Just a few weeks ago KOTA blessed us with a track entitled Customs that gave us insight into the uncertain and emotionally straining life of a starving artist. Today he’s back with a dope anti consumerism anthem entitled Black Friday. He chants “F*ck Black Friday, Empower the black people” in this new cut. Right on time for Thanksgiving and Black Friday KOTA is definitely trying to make a statement in support of the Black Friday Boycott. Other musicians like Vic Mensa and Ferrari Sheppard have also joined in on the boycott. With this new track KOTA is trying to “get people to understand that the power is in their spending dollars and the U.S will continue the murders of innocent black people nationwide unless we collectively stand up and hit them where it hurts, the pockets”. We truly hope that this track gets the publicity that it deserves. Check it out below.
